I am always amazed when I read about tour players who are completely re-working their swings. Isn’t this game difficult enough as it is? The thought of trying to break all those old habits with so much on the line is a daunting task. I bring this up because in the last few months the staff here at Texas Golfer Media have debated the idea of
re-inventing the only statewide golf magazine. As owner and CEO of Texas Golfer Media one feels a certain obligation to our loyal readers and advertisers and those of you who for the last 24 years have made this all possible. After much thought and discussion we have decided to move ahead with our swing change.
Let me highlight a few of the changes and some things that will
never change:
The Fundamentals of Texas Golfer Media
• We will continue to be out on the first of every month.
• We will continue to be the only ABC Audited golf magazine in the state.
• We will continue to be available in over 600 locations statewide.
• We will continue to bring you timely Q & A’s, travel articles, rules articles, training and instructions, Best of the various regions of Texas, and previews and reviews of all PGA events in Texas.
• We will continue to focus on our strengths and not criticize the
competition.
So what’s new at Texas Golfer Media?
• Improved statewide coverage with North, South and Central Texas being broken into sections each month.
• Our Best of Texas in a pull-out section. This will make it easier to access as you travel around the state. (Begins May 1)
• We will expand from 36 pages to 60 for more golf coverage each month.
• We literally have turned our swing upside down! You will clearly see the magazine divided into separate parts. No, you did not have too much to drink on the 19th hole!
• Our website at www.texasgolfermagazine.com is updated weekly.
• You can blog at www.texasgolfermagazine.com — a great place to add your two cents about your golf experiences in Texas.
• Best of all our One Stop Shop for everything golf in Texas. Google Austin Golf, Dallas Golf, Ft. Worth Golf, Houston Golf or San Antonio Golf to see our newest product, or better yet bookmark www.texasgolferyellowpages.com.
We hope you like the changes and additions. I look forward to receiving your feedback. Please feel free to
or call me at 713-417-6152.
I know you are aware that swing changes rarely happen in a month. So before I go let me thank the staff who worked tirelessly to see this thru. A special thanks to Elizabeth Vitek for all you do!
