Looking Forward, Looking Back - Tom Weiskopf

As a golfer, he was a solid superstar for more than two decades. As a golf course architect, he similarly shines. Weiskopf has cast a large shadow over the game of golf for nearly 40 years, first as a stellar college player at Ohio State University, the same school his idol and fellow Ohioan, Jack Nicklaus, attended. On the PGA Tour, Weiskopf notched 15 victories. His most notable winning stretch was in 1973 when won five times in an eight-week span, including the Open Championship, beating Johnny Miller at Royal Troon, then winning the first of his two Canadian Open victories a few weeks later.
